We make our Personalized Growth Rulers our of quarter-sawn Sapele (similar to Mahogany). Your family name and the ruler portion are engraved and then painted black and finished with lacquer.  Each Personalized Growth Ruler comes with a low-profile hanging system to keep it securely in place above your baseboards. This keeps it safely out of the way of your vacuum and, prevents you from ever ripping the door trim off the wall again.
